Dr. Rekha Vartak retired as Professor from the Biology Cell in 2022 after a long tenure of over two decades. She has been instrumental in the initiation and growth of various programmes of the cell especially the Biology Olympiad Programme and the NIUS programme. Over her long service period she designed several innovative and challenging experimental as well as theoretical tasks which have been used to enhance the teaching and learning process of biology.
