The National Initiative on Undergraduate Science (NIUS) is a programme focused on research-based science education at the undergraduate level. The aim is to inculcate research aptitude in first year undergraduate students from various disciplines of biology by offering proto-research projects.Students get an opportunity to work in labs at the Biology cell of HBCSE and, later, in different renowned research organizations collaborating with HBCSE. They are mentored by experts specialized in various fields of biology, like molecular biology, biochemistry, ethology, stress physiology, etc.
NIUS-TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
The NIUS Biology program also ventures into undergraduate teacher-nurture activities.
